Welcome to our Christmas kitchen! Today, I’m sharing a few of the simple holiday touches in the kitchen.
This week I’ve been sharing a few of the simple holiday decorations around our home. You can find the living room post here and the dining room post here. Now, let’s take a look at the kitchen.
If you’ve been reading my blog for any amount of time, you’ve probably detected that I’m not a big “sit-about” person. That is especially true in the kitchen! Our hard-working kitchen serves as meal prep, baking, and entertaining (because that’s where everyone congregates). So, there’s really no room for extra fluff. A few evergreens, silver trays, and ribbon and I’m good.
I had been wanting to start a myrtle topiary collection in the bay window behind the sink for years now. Don’t know what took me so long. What started as two topiary has become four. They received some fresh moss and ribbon for the holidays. When Rick came home from a business trip last week, he said, “I noticed that the topiary had babies.” Chances are, Fertile Myrtle and friends will be having even more babies in the coming months.
A bit of faux garland atop the banquette. I may add a few fairy lights to add a warm glow at night when we are all gathered around the table.
A single faux cedar wreath for the butler’s pantry and brown ribbon. The wreath is from Target last year and I haven’t been able to find anything similar in price to link to.
I hope you enjoyed the tour this week! Thank you so much for stopping by!
