Today, I’m sharing a few pictures our dining room decorated for Christmas.
Hi there! In case you missed it, yesterday I kicked off our holiday tour in the living room. Today, we are taking a peek at the dining room which is connected to the living room by an arched opening. In between the two rooms is a sitting area which we consider to be part of the dining room. Let’s take a look at the dining area first. This is our sunniest room in the house, so I take full advantage of making this the flower room. Re-blooming orchids are on the back console table. Bits of arborvitae are tucked into the sconces. The sconces came from Terrain several years ago. These are similar.
Last but not least, I made a wreath for the china cabinet out of things I had tucked away. I love it when everything I need for a project is already on hand. I wrapped two garlands around a grapevine wreath. Then I glued on faux lemons & pears using a hot glue gun. The wreath is hanging by the same brown satin ribbon I used for the exterior wreaths.
I’m looking forward to setting the table a little closer to Christmas with more greenery, candles, and white table linens.
The sitting area has the sunniest window. Paperwhites do so well here! I try to plant them every year around Thanksgiving to ensure Christmas blooms. These might bloom early this year.
Bits of greenery on the bar cart. The preserved boxwood garland is from last year. It’s a great size for hanging pictures and mirrors. I love tucking bits of arborvitae all around the house.
The tour continues tomorrow. Please stop by!
