I’ve been wanting to carve out a little sitting area between the dining room and living room for the longest. Once we made a decision on the new living room chairs, I knew things would fall into place. This spot is now one of my favorites in our home.
You’ll find me here after lunch with a cup of tea and a book and Reagan will find a sunny spot at my feet. She and I agree, nothing feels better than soaking up the sun on chilly days. It’s like light therapy which I so desperately need in the dead of winter.
We moved these chairs from the living room and added a round jute rug to define the space. I found the bamboo rattan table at a local consignment store. It’s the perfect spot for plants that require a lot of light. I have paperwhites and amaryllis there now and pretty soon orchids will take their place.
I just love how all of the textures work together! And the neutral color scheme makes the flow between the living room and dining room seamless. I was so happy to finally pull this together!
