My jalapeños are still growing like crazy. See my pickle jalapeño recipe here. Last weekend, a group of friends came over before the Chris Stapleton concert. I served jalapeño poppers and they quickly disappeared. One of my best friends shared this recipe with me and I’ve made them several times. They are always a hit! Only four ingredients too! Just a reminder that any time you are handling jalapeños, it’s a good idea to wear latex gloves. The oils will remain on your hands even after you wash them if you don’t.
Jalapeño Poppers
Ingredients
- 20 or so jalapeño peppers ends trimmed and cut in half lengthwise
- 1 lb. hot (or mild) sausage I use Neese's
- 10 oz. cream cheese
- 3/4 cup parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Brown the sausage. Stir in the cream cheese and parmesan. Stuff peppers and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
