I mentioned earlier in the week that I had been away to the beach with childhood friends. It doesn’t matter what we do together – whether we’re sitting around in our pj’s, riding down the highway singing at the top of our lungs, laying on the beach, whatever it is, we have the best time together! Last Friday we drove through the pouring rain to Wilmington. We stayed at a friends house on the tidal marsh of Howe’s Creek. Gorgeous house, by the way!
While in Wilmington, we visited Airlie Moon, a beautiful coastal inspired store – you may have seen my instastories.
That night, we were treated to the most amazing dinner at Port Land Grille. My friend has celiac disease and the restaurant was more than accommodative. Our meal was incredibly delicious and the staff was oh so friendly. We shared a crab appetizer and had the tuna and salmon entrees for dinner. The signature cocktails were so, so good and the wine list was excellent. I highly recommend Port Land Grille if you’re ever in the area.
The next day we drove to my friend’s cottage at Oak Island. It was 60 degrees and sunny that day so we were able to fully enjoy the beach! We passed the cutest little cottage on our walk to the beach. I could envision it with a new portico and beefier posts and also fresh landscape, but seriously what a darling little home. Those trees!
Here we are taking selfies on the beach, lol. I’ve known these girls since elementary school and am so very thankful to have them in my life.
