Happy Valentine’s Day! In case you are looking for something fun to sip tonight, I’ve got you covered. This simple gin and jam cocktail is perfect for any season, but I especially love it for holidays like today because it is pink. It serves two.
You don’t have to use gin
My recipe calls for gin, but you can use vodka or tequila. Of course, you can always make it non-alcoholic by eliminating the booze and opting for plain or flavored seltzer.
What about jam?
You can use any jam, but I’ve found that raspberry turns this drink into the prettiest shade of pink. If you are like me and avoid sugary drinks, this one is perfect. One tablespoon of jam gives it just enough sweetness without being too sweet. It is perfectly balanced with sweet and sour notes.
Make it pretty
Garnish with lemon, lime, or a few raspberries. Pro tip: Make ice cubes with a mixture of water and raspberry jam, and you will have yourself a very pink cocktail. Cheers!
