Before the holidays, I gave our downstairs bathroom a makeover. I was ready for something a little more serene than the patterned wallpaper I installed a few years ago. Peel-and-stick wallpaper is fairly easy to install and it comes in hundreds of colors and patterns. I opted for this faux grasscloth wallpaper in the cashmere colorway. The paper has a nice texture and the neutral shade was exactly what I was looking for. Scroll down to learn more about it.
It took two rolls of paper to cover this tiny bathroom. If I had made even a single mistake, that would not have been enough though.
I also replaced the old shower curtain with this scalloped border one I found on Amazon. It comes in several lengths – I ordered the longest length so that it could hang higher on the wall, drawing the eye up. (My apologies for the wonky picture. I used the .5 lens on my iPhone to try and capture more of the room, so it’s a little distorted.)
The shelf was already there, this one is similar.
I have shared this rechargeable magnifying mirror with you before, but it is worth repeating because it is that good!

Hi! Looks great! Any tips or tricks for applying the wallpaper? Have heard mixed reviews on difficulty of application. Thanks!

Thank you, Kristen! My best advice is to have a large surface to work on. Use a long straight edge and a sharp utility knife. Follow the directions that come with the paper about measuring/spacing etc. The good thing is that it is “re-postionable” pending it doesn’t get stretched. Hope this helps!
