There’s been so much holiday coverage lately, that I thought it would be fun to take a break. Today, I’m excited to share pretty images from the portfolio of Lilse McKenna. When I discovered her work a few weeks ago on the How to Decorate podcast, I immediately dropped what I was doing to learn more. I love her use of wallpaper, including the fifth wall. Lilse pays close attention to the small details that yield a big impact – ruffle details on pillows, patterned lampshades, and pattern repetition within a space. The layered colors and textures partnered with traditional roots are what make her rooms sing. Let’s take a peek into one of my favorite projects, New England Retreat, and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
