As I’ve mentioned before, my sights are set on the holiday season. To be honest, I’ve never really been a Halloween person and we spend Thanksgiving at my in-laws. So, Christmas is the next holiday that I get to plan and get really excited about. It’s when our family comes together under one roof for a few nights. For me, planning early is the key to fully enjoying the season. Last-minute dashes to the store for this or that don’t suit me, haha!
One of the things I like to do early is to make sure my gift wrapping supplies are stocked. By the way, if you aren’t quite ready to think about the holidays (I don’t blame you if you aren’t!), save this post to refer to later. Just keep in mind that deliveries may be a bit slower this year if you are an online shopper.
When choosing wrapping paper, I like to find options that blend with our decor. Blues, greens, and neutrals tend to work best in this case. I’ll pull out what’s left from last year and also add my latest finds to the mix. When it comes to bows, I like to make my own. There’s nothing better than a simply wrapped gift with a dramatic bow! For ribbon I like to use velvet, wire, metallic, and satin. I recently grabbed a big spool of gold ribbon at Costco. Chances are it will last until Christmas of 2031. I also like to keep these bags in white and brown on hand year-round. They come in handy for last-minute gifts. All it takes is some colorful tissue and ribbon to customize the packaging for the recipient. Scroll down to check out my latest finds that you may want to add to your gift wrapping stash.
