I love listening to podcasts, especially design podcasts. I find them not only entertaining but also informative. Whether I’m walking, driving, or working in the garden, it’s nice to listen and learn. The interactive conversations are fun to follow, and it’s nice to “get to know” some of my most loved designers. FAVORITE PODCASTS IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER
Design Time is a podcast by Domino Magazine. Domino editors chat with various experts in the design field about all aspects of design. I especially enjoyed the Jessie Randall, Ina Garten, and Nate Berkus episodes.
Dear Alice is a fun podcast by the designers at Alice Lane. Each episode focuses on a specific component of interior design. They cover everything from can lights to kitchen design. I’ve gotten some good information here!
How to Decorate is a podcast by Ballard Designs. This is probably my favorite design podcast. They normally have an interior designer guest and chat about all things design. Listeners send in design dilemmas, which the group addresses at the end of the show. Mark D. Sikes, James Farmer, and Lauren Lowe are great episodes, but I’ve enjoyed them all!
The Style Files is a podcast by Paloma Contreras. Paloma is an interior designer who writes the La Dolce Vita blog. This show also features an interior design guest. Recent favorites are John Robshaw, Aerin Lauder, and Peter Dunham.
The Chairish Podcast is by the popular online vintage marketplace, Chairish. The show takes deep dives into all aspects of the design business. I recently listened to the Bunny Williams and Rita Konig episodes.
