One of the perks of writing this blog is getting the opportunity to review new decorating books. Provence Style, a book featuring chic homes and interior details decorated with French country flair, is the most recent. One of my favorite homes featured is Shauna Varvel’s eighteenth-century Rhône Valley farmhouse, Le Mas des Poiriers.
When I picture a farmhouse, this isn’t exactly what comes to mind. The home is located on a 65-acre pear farm on an island in the Rhône River. Sweeping gardens filled with Italian cypress, perfectly groomed hedges, and manicured lawns create the perfect backdrop for this breathtakingly gorgeous home.
Here are a few more images from the book that were shared with me for a post. While they are all beautiful, the ones that aren’t shared here are even better. I’ve spent hours going through the pages of Provence Style, soaking in the details and learning about the history of the area.
If you enjoy decorating books as much as I do, you might consider adding this book to your collection.
