1. It’s been a fast week! I’m loving the longer days, the blooming flowers, and the promise of spring. Yesterday, I had my first Covid vaccine. My emotions got the best of me when I walked in and saw all of the nurses and patients. My heart goes out to the healthcare workers who have been working non-stop, especially one of my best friends, an ER nurse. Thank you!
2. I can hardly wait to start gardening. Actually, I sowed radish seeds before our trip to CA. They only take 30 days from start to finish – just in time for the summer veggies to go in. Here is an Amazon affiliate link to some of my gardening favorites.
3. Speaking of gardening, these white tulips have been so pretty in our living room. See room sources here.
4. I watched a few heartwarming movies on the airplane ride home. Kodachrome is a story about a father and son who are reunited. They go on a road trip to the last lab that develops Kodachrome film. I cried. Our Souls at Night is a sweet film about widowed neighbors who begin sleeping together platonically in order to feel less lonely. It isn’t long before the relationship grows into something more meaningful. Captain Fantastic is a movie about a father who is raising his children off the grid. It’s definitely thought-provoking!
5. I cannot get enough pretty spring prints! They lift me up even on the dreariest day. The one I’m wearing is under $30.

When I got my second vaccine and thought about hugs with the children and grandchildren, my tears quietly flowed. I was hoping that no one noticed me lift my mask enough to blow my nose. Two weeks later, I had my hugs. Heaven.
