It’s Friday, woot! I hope you’ve had a great week! We have a couple of fun things lined up this weekend. We are trying out a new music venue Friday, going to Greenville Saturday for a birthday celebration, and most likely getting into some Super Bowl shenanigans Sunday. This week I shared fun finds for an end of season wardrobe refresh, how I achieve a chemical peel experience at home and a recipe for a delicious Greek chicken and rice soup. Enjoy your weekend!
1. Last weekend, R and I checked a new brewery, Oden Brewing, in Greensboro. The building was a bottling company in the 1930s. I had heard a lot about the decor, so it was fun to see it in person.
2. I took advantage of R being gone this week and started the series The Morning Show on apple tv (so relevant). I seriously do not understand how Reese Witherspoon does it all! Also, I will always be a Jennifer Anniston fan.
3. I’ve been on a quinoa bowl kick lately. I make a pot of quinoa at the beginning of the week and make bowls for lunch all week. This one has avocado, grape tomatoes, cucumber, feta, olive oil, red wine vinegar, pickled jalapeños, and crushed red pepper flakes. Yum!
4. Lots of cute things on sale this weekend at JCrew Factory.
5. I had an appointment with my optometrist this week. I asked him about his thoughts on blue light blocking glasses. I’ve been wearing them for a while, but I just wanted his opinion. It turns out that blue light is the second most damaging light to UV. While there’s no long term study, it might be a good idea if we all protect our eyes as much as possible. Lots of stylish options here.
