Out & About – The other night, we went to Asheboro to have my birthday dinner with my parents. Hamilton’s is always so good! I had the bacon & gouda mac & cheese.
Podcast – The How to Decorate team met up with Eddie Ross this week. It’s the most fun podcast I’ve heard in a while!
Beauty Find – Even though this is still my favorite eyebrow pen, I’m giving this one in blonde a try thanks to my facebook feed, lol. So far so good. ****Revised to say that this pen only worked one time. I’m going to try to return it.
Planted – I’ve been rearranging our patio garden. The peegee hydrangea has gotten so big that some of the flowers had to be relocated. I’ve started by planting baby gem boxwood along the front border.
Favorite Fall Dish – I love roasted veggies when it starts to get cold outside. Any combination is good. I like root veggies like carrots, parsnips, and sweet potatoes. Also, broccoli, mushrooms, butternut squash, basically anything in the fridge. I chop it all up along with an onion and sometimes garlic, toss in some olive oil and a little sea salt and bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet on 400℉ for about 20 minutes or until they look done. Any leftovers are good the next morning with Greek yogurt and an egg over medium.
Making – My birthday is on Saturday. We are having friends over before the Chris Stapelton show. I’ve been looking for a good gluten-free cake recipe to serve. I’m going to try this one. Do you have a good GF cake recipe?
Skincare – It only takes a couple of days with cooler weather for my hands to start feeling dry. I slather this on at night before I go to bed.
