I’ve been dying to try a cauliflower pizza crust. I’m not one to swear off entire categories of food and don’t have a gluten intolerance, but just wanted to see what it’s all about. I’ll eventually make the dough from scratch, but with Whole Foods less than a mile from my house, it was really easy to pick up the crust and add toppings. I used this crust (two crusts per box), but now that I’ve tried it and 100% love it, I’m curious about the other flavors, especially jalapeño.
There are different ways to make a margherita pizza. I keep mine pretty simple using only a few ingredients – olive oil, fresh tomatoes & basil from the garden, fresh mozzarella, and kosher salt.
We had our pizza with a simple tossed salad and a glass of wine. It was delish!
