It was a rainy yet relaxing weekend. I like how a rainy weekend gives me permission to take a break from gardening – can anyone relate? We so enjoyed having our son along with a friend home for the weekend. It was also fun to put the new upstairs bedrooms to use for a test run. Yesterday, we shopped for a sectional sofa to go in our downstairs den. Do any of you have a good recommendation on a sectional? Something comfy, linen/cotton, preferably down filled, that isn’t too terribly expensive. I’d love to hear from you.
Monday inspiration this week is coming to you from Savannah, Georgia. I did a double take last week when this feature from Lonny came through my blog feed. There’s so much I love about this home! Of course, older homes are always my favorite particularly when they come with crown moldings and shiplap. I’m especially inspired by the art in this home and the way it is paired with traditional furnishings. Neutral rugs and simply white paint by Benjamin Moore walls provide the perfect backdrop. I also love that the homeowner took a chance with a bold wallpaper in the powder room. Click here for the full tour and all of the details. Enjoy!
