My love of smaller homes is no secret. Make it a beach cottage and you have the winning combination! I recently stumbled upon this 1,200-foot cottage located off the shore of Long Island. Most of the home is original, though walls and parts of floors were replaced due to hurricane damage. The kitchen has also been renovated. Walls and floors have been painted white maximizing natural light and creating a consistent flow from one room to another. The sunroom might just be my favorite space. Oh, I love it!!! If it were my house, I might have a touch more natural wood to break up some of the white, but overall this home is gorgeous! As the owner of a less than 1400-square-foot bungalow, I am a lover of smaller homes, too.
