I’m usually a blouse girl, but this cold season came in hot in a very cold way. So, I’m 100% a sweater girl right now! While I have drawers full of sweaters that I rarely wear (and probably need to purge), I have a few sweaters that I rarely take off. A couple may not be sweaters, technically, but they wear like sweaters and feel like sweaters. So sweaters. Another bonus is that they are all under $40 and this time of year, anything under $40 is most definitely a good thing. I’m looking at you Christmas gift list.
TOP TO BOTTOM
french terry ruffle sleeve – This top wears like your favorite sweatshirt, but with a ruffle on the sleeve for sass. I love it because it can be dressed up or down, it isn’t too loose or too fitted. It’s just right…and it’s under $20 right now! Comes in lots of colors and stripes – I have it in charcoal.
fine knit sweater with sequins – This is a gem for all of those holiday parties! It can be dressed up or down. Love it with black denim and over the knee black boots, but would just as pretty with a skirt and heels or ruffed up denim and flats. Very versatile and feels more expensive than it is. Comes in lots of colors – I have it in plum purple & really like the cream and the red for holidays!
plush knit balloon sleeve top – Even though this top is more of a tee than a sweater, it has a warm hand because it’s brushed. I really like the color (I have it in olive) and the sleeve detail adds a feminine touch. It’s also the perfect fit with jeans – not too loose & not too tight. Also comes in other colors and a stripe.
batwing sleeve turtleneck – I’ve shared this one before, but good things are worth repeating. This sweater looks great with jeans or leggings. Definitely, a cozy piece to have on hand this season.
cowl neck cable knit – I’ll admit that I bought this sweater because of the color (saddle brown), but I love it because it’s really comfortable. The fit is flattering, oversized, but not in a dumpy way. I wear it with denim and these waterproof booties most of the time.
funnel neck sweatshirt – I’ve mentioned this sweater before too. I like to wear this on super casual days. It’s warm, washes well, and has pockets (yay).
knit turtleneck – H&M has it going on when it comes to great looking sweaters under $40! This one is boxy and longer in the back. The quality feels amazing! It’s also warm without being cumbersome.
