Hey guys! Happy hump day! I’m finding myself in that awkward phase in between seasons where each day is a “what do I wear today” day. Honestly, the cold shoulder and off-the-shoulder looks aren’t my favorite. They look great on other people, but they just aren’t my jam. And I’ve found very few bell sleeve, ruffled numbers that don’t leave me feeling like a standard poodle. I also love flirty little details, but if they extend beyond my fingers and into my spaghetti then they simply don’t work for me. Maybe I’m just old and grumpy :). Anyway, I’ve pulled together a few tops that I really like to ease into fall. Have a nice day!
P.S. Lots of these are 40% off!

Thank you for posting this! I am also not a fan of the cold-shoulder/off-the-shoulder trend, either. You have featured some lovely alternatives!

Thank you Kristen!

Great selection. I have bought a few off the shoulder tops but end up never wearing them because I feel silly for some reason. And the "puffy shirt" Seinfeld episode always pops in my head when I see most of those bell sleeve ruffled shirts. Just not a good look for me…

I did the same thing! I felt like I was always trying to keep everything in place which for me is too much work. Yes to the puffy shirt, lol!

It's probably a good thing I don't have much of a clothes budget at the moment, because I feel like I'm living in the twilight zone with fashion these days. Current trends just aren't doing it for me, with the small exception of bohemian blouses. It makes me glad I built a capsule wardrobe between 2012 – 2014 and have added some pieces since then. Otherwise, it wouldn't be a pretty picture for anyone in my vicinity. Meanwhile, you managed to find quite a few lovely things. Cheers, Ardith
P.S. Love Calypso's reference to the puffy shirt episode.

Capsule wardrobes are the best way to establish a good foundation and you can always add in a trendy accessory or clothing item here and there. Loved your twilight zone reference. 🙂

I'm so with you on both of these trends. Does this mean I'm getting old? lol
