Graduation season is here and we’ve been in a flurry of activity for the last week or so. This year flew by, but then again senior year always does. I’ve been picking the brains of teenagers who are graduating from high school to find out what they like other than the obvious, money. And here’s what they have chosen.
1. yeti tumbler. The inside is made of stainless steel so it doesn’t retain odor when you switch from iced coffee to water; something my son does every day. They come in lots of colors.
2. kanken water resistant backpack. They’ll be walking to class rain or shine ( in theory) so a water proof backpack is a must. Lots of colors available.
3. bose blue tooth speaker. Music and dorm rooms go hand in hand.
4. hanging toiletries bag. These are a great way to keep everything in one place for that jaunt down the hall to the bathroom. Different sizes and colors available.
5. chemex 6-cup coffee maker. A great gift for coffee lovers! Just heat the water to a boil and pour into a special paper filter. It’s hands down one of the best cups of coffee you’ll ever have.
6. eno hammock. An especially great gift for the outdoorsy type, but then again who doesn’t enjoy a hammock?
7. personalized stationery. This is a gift that comes in handy for all of those thank you notes that will be written after graduation.
8. hydroflask. Keeps drinks hot or cold on the go & fits easily into a backpack. More colors available.
9. patagonia waterproof rain jacket. My family loves these jackets & they last forever. Click here for men and here for women.
10. patagonia black hole duffel. I actually wouldn’t mind having one of these myself for those short weekend getaways. Can be carried as a duffel or worn as a backpack. Lots of colors available.

This is a wonderful, practical compilation of graduate gifts. Most I was not aware of, so I really appreciate learning about them.
I will say that my personal preference when it comes to coffee making is the french press, hands down (ha ha). I don't care for the taste of coffee made with paper filters, so the press is my best friend.
Happy Graduation to all and cheers, Ardith

Happy that this post was informative & yes, the french press does make a nice cup of coffee.
