Before we went to the beach R purchased a new toy. Together, he and our son researched drones watched youtube reviews for what seemed like forever and decided on this one. He wanted it for our upcoming trip to Italy and the beach was the perfect place to practice his skills. I wasn’t crazy about getting a drone, but the images and videos he captured made me change my tune. All of the pictures were taken in auto mode, which are pretty darn great, but the camera has all sorts of settings that we haven’t even begun to understand. Bird’s eye view shots are always so fun, especially beach shots. Most days we practically had the beach to ourselves, and the weather was perfect. While there, our youngest son invited his girlfriend to the prom – with the drone of course. I can’t wait to see the pictures we take in Italy now.

Those pictures are great! We have a drone (1st generation) and have taken videos at the lake but no still shots. I can't believe you'll take it to Italy with you. Ours is so big and fragile it would be hard to carry on or check. Can't wait to see more pictures.

Aren't they fun!? Ours folds up into a tiny rectangle and the bag is smaller than a purse. The Amalfi coast is so picturesque, I can't wait!
