Last week Mom and I got together, did a little shopping and had lunch. We both would like to see each other more even though we only live 30 miles apart. Our lunch dates are always fun & this time we discovered a new boutique. I wanted everything! During our visit I asked Mom if I could take a few pictures of her Christmas decor. Her home is very traditional (built in the 30’s) as is her decorating style. I’ve always loved how Mom goes all out for Christmas although this year she has dialed it back considerably. I don’t blame her one bit – decorating is no easy task! Enjoy the pictures.
Christmas tree in the den decorated with only pinecones and lights
Love this pretty poinsettia in blue and white & also her collection on the shelves.
a touch of Christmas in the breakfast nook (see the renovation here)
Christmas tree in the living room
Mom has made the most beautiful needlepoint pillows over the years.
Her collection of carolers always brings a smile.
Gorgeous! I was so hoping I'd get to see this. Thanks for the treat. You get your great taste from your mom! Love you both!

Thank you! I will tell her. 🙂
Lovely! Two trees is dialing it back? Wow, she must really have gone all out. I love old houses, and the details in your mom's house are great. The corner cupboard in the dining room, the glass door and its hardware, and the wood floors are all charming, old-house details. Thanks to you and your mom for sharing.

Claudia, If you could have seen what her tree used to look like, lol! I love those corner cabinets too. They were existing and Mom added those beautiful custom doors. Thank you!
Beautiful! What boutique did you discover on your lunch date?
Thank yo Gina! It's in Asheboro beside Pasitano's. They had the cutest jewelry, ponchos, and dresses!
Will have to check it out!
