We came very close to putting our Christmas tree up over the weekend, but decided to wait until after Thanksgiving. I’ve never been one to decorate this early, but I’m beginning to get in the spirit earlier each year. Our oldest son has been away at school since August so you can imagine how happy this mama will be to have my family together for a few days. It’s also hard to believe that this time next year we will have both sons coming home for Thanksgiving – my excitement level will probably triple then!

I love fresh greenery as much as the next person but it sure gets dry & brittle after a while.
You are right. I try to soak mine before decorating with it and replace any dry branches get replaced as the season goes. Nothing beats the smell of fresh greenery.
