We installed a fire pit last spring and have so enjoyed using it over the spring/summer when caught by surprise on a rare cool night. We have plans to landscape the area as soon as the temps cool off a bit. By landscape I mean move existing things in our garden – like ferns and hosta. I’ll show pictures of it when it looks more presentable. Right now it’s the basic fire pit kit (from Home Depot or was it Lowe’s?) with four adirondack chairs, but I have plans. While I’m not wishing summer away, I am looking forward to getting back to work in the garden.
Yes, fire pits can probably be really nice on coolish autumn nights. I've wanted to installl one in our yard for a while. It would have to be pretty small as the area of our yard where it would work isn't very big. Everyone seems to be enamored with adirondak chairs, but the y look extremely uncomfortable to me Sitting on those wooden–or plastic–slats can't be all that great feeling. I know they are stylish, but I don't think I'd want them. Is there something I don't know about them that makes them so popular?
I think chairs are a very personal choice and find that most adirondak chairs are comfortable (to me). The arm is typically wide enough to hold a beverage which is an added bonus. We spend hours in ours. 🙂
