If you are here for the Best of Fall Decorating Ideas & Inspiration series, welcome! Happy to have you! You should probably know that I’m technically not a seasonal decorator. At least not when it comes to candy corn, scarecrows and the like. However, I’m totally honored to participate along with the other talented bloggers to share fall decor ideas and inspiration! The seasonal changes I make to our home are more from a functional standpoint when fall rolls around. Here are few of my quick changes that are repeated each year.
I’m always a little sad to say good-bye to the flowers that are so plentiful in the summer so I replace them with fresh foliage. Any greenery I can get my hands on works perfectly for an instant splash of color.
Even though it will be a while before the season’s first fire, a few logs help to set the tone for cozy nights to come. I’m a bit behind on cleaning out the fireplace from last year (ha), but once it’s clean I stack a few birch logs for texture.
We are a cozy crew here at the cottage and vine casa. Friends who visit also like to curl up on our couch – so throw blankets are never far away.
Lastly, when the temps drop, I like to add a sheepskin to my office chair for warmth and comfort.
Now pop over to Kris’s blog for her favorite fall decorating tips. When you’re finished there, be sure to check out the other participants below.
