It’s time for Monday inspiration and I’m excited to share another home from the Napa Valley Designer Showhouse. This particular house is an 1880’s Craftsman bungalow. Even though it is small in scale, it is big on charm and style. I hope you love it as much as I do! Unfortunately the pictures were taken at night with artificial lighting – thanks for understanding!
Living Room by John Loecke & Jason Oliver Nixon
I was immediately blown away by the colorful mixture of patterns. Modern, traditional, and far from boring.
Dining Room by Julie Rootes
Modern design details are the perfect juxtaposition to the original wood paneling.
Master Bedroom by David Hansen Design
Designed as a nod to the home owners’ passion for art and travel.
Central Hall & Mudroom by Bryan Douglas Tapper
Notice how the lighting (Circa) stands out against the dark walls (Pratt & Lambert, steel wool)
Kitchen & Breakfast Area by Lori Gilder & Rebecca Reynolds (Kitchen Design Network)
I adore every detail in this kitchen! The floor tiles from Veranda Tile Design are the icing on the cake! #gimme
Bathroom by Lisa Mende
I wish I had gotten a better picture of this gorgeous bathroom so you could see all of the pretty details. I especially loved the wallpaper (Thibaut) and the beautiful Roman shade.
Guest Bedroom by Courtney Lake
This space doubles as a home office and a guest room with a few adjustments to the modular built-ins.
The takeaways:
Preserve the architectural integrity (the bones) of the home.
Have fun with color and pattern.
Classic bathrooms always win.
Let rooms serve as double duty when space is an issue.
I hope you enjoyed the tour!

Thanks for your fun take on the show house! I posted about it too today. We were sort of disappointed in the kitchen as they took the island and table and banquet out to re-seal the floor already! It's nice to see your photo…and fun to see everything at night, too.

The kitchen is so great! I'm so sorry you didn't get to go in the kitchen. The breakfast table that was there was a temporary one because the carrera table fell and broke. Loved the entire house!

Not really my style, but the kitchen is nice. And the house itself with all that old woodwork!
