When I was a little girl, certain smells spoke to me around the holidays. My family always celebrated Christmas with a fresh tree so it goes without saying that frasier fir will forever be my favorite holiday scent. It’s woodsy and earthy, but in a fresh, crisp way. Whenever I smell it I always think of our Christmas trees growing up. Now that I’m grown and creating memories for our family, one of the first things I do to make our home holiday ready is add candles in my favorite fragrance.
I’ll admit that when it comes to all the holiday trimmings, I’m usually not the first blogger to decorate, but I have planted paperwhites and sprinkled hints of the holidays throughout our home. I’m also a bit of a fragrance snob and have grown to realize that not all “firs” are the same. Some are sweeter than others and some don’t smell like the real thing at all. I recently tried this one and am hooked! The diffusers are amazing and the fresh woodsy scent welcomes us home and sets the tone for days to come. I cannot get enough!
I’ve also enjoyed burning a candle while working at my desk. I find it very relaxing and peaceful and the scent is intoxicating! I love that Thymes uses natural plant based ingredients instead of chemicals whenever possible.
Thymes is offering my sweet readers a free sample set of 14 unique fragrances with a purchase of $25. All you have to do is click here.
Here’s the deal. I’ve tried the dish soap, handwash & hand lotion, the reed diffusers, room spray and candles and love it all! It would be difficult to pick just one. There’s also a Gingerbread fragrance for those of you who prefer it. Thymes fragrances are a wonderful gift idea! Happy shopping!

I adore having scent in the house, and am very picky about which ones I use. I like Williams-Sonoma's pine candle which I put out each year right after Thanksgiving. But my favorite fragrance is a candle called Pomme de Pine that I bought in Beaufort, SC. I have one in two rooms of our home and a spare put away for later. It's an amazing aroma that puts me in such a great mood.
