As long as I can remember, I’ve had the biggest design crush on Lauren Leiss. Lauren’s designs just feel to good to me. Maybe it’s the way she incorporates nature or maybe it’s the way rooms have that welcoming feel that – the one that’s familiar and warm. Neutral with hints of colors. Modern and classic, never dated. If Lauren and I were to go on a nature walk together, we would make fast friends with our love of ferns and all things green. All this to say, I say recently received a copy of Lauren’s new book, Habitat, the Field Guide to Decorating. I’m slowly making my way through it. Slowly in a good way. There is so much great information in this book and I want to soak in every detail. She discusses decorating fundamentals like architecture, color, and hardware in a way we can all understand. She even goes more in depth with deeper concepts (I don’t want to spoil it) that are again, very relatable. Habitat is a must have for design lovers! Ya’ll, this is a good one!
Today I’m sharing a few images from one of my favorite projects of Lauren’s, The Vista House. Enjoy!
Habitat is available October 13th. Reserve your copy here.
