It happens about this time every year. As soon as the temps drop, I’m ready for some comfort food in the form of stews and soups. I’ve already made my first batch of chocolate chip pumpkin bread which is a sure sign that fall is here. Here are a few tried & true recipes I’ve saved on pinterest that have become family favorites. I’m always adding to the collection. These images are sure to make your mouth water. Start making the grocery list now so you’ll have everything you need when you start craving a bowl something warm.
Mexican lime soup with chicken
I made this one last week in the dutch oven rather than using the crock pot. I also made a batch of corn meal muffins to go with it. After pouring the batter into the muffin tin, I pressed a few red onion slivers into the tops before baking. It was delicious!

Ooh, I'm trying that Mexican lime soup! Aren't soups and stews just the best way to get some veggies into kids too?

These all are mouth watering! I can't decide which one to make first but know that I will be trying each one. We are big soup eaters over here in the colder months.
