Last week when I had the house to myself (which is rare). It gave me time to hang a few pictures and do some editing in various spots that had been bugging me. I’m really liking how this space is feeling more “us” now. We plan to replace the original picture moulding with crown moulding and will eventually address the hearth. Not sure what we will do there yet, but are looking into a few different options. And by the way, this is as “fall” as our mantel is going to get.
I’m also really happy with this pop of pink situation over in the corner between the dining and family rooms. The art came from Shutterfly and it’s from the Cupcakes and Cashmere collaboration. It arrived yesterday and I couldn’t hang it fast enough. What have you been up to lately?

But wait…where is the TV now!

Ha! By the stairs. Maybe I'll show the whole room one day. 🙂

I love this new layout, your gorgeous mirror over the fireplace, and your wall color – do you mind sharing with me? I currently have 5 samples on our living room walls and none of them are quite right. (3x painting those walls in 6 years so I have to get this one right!)

Thanks so much Lisa! I can relate to the color saga. The color is BM Classic Gray. Previously it was SW White Dove which looked too yellow and then SW Worldly Gray which suddenly became pink and much darker/dirtier than I preferred.

Sometimes we have to give our guys a suggestive shove. 😀 It really looks lovely. I adore the mirror.

Looks so great! I'd love to purchase the cupcakes and cashmere shutterfly print but can't seem to find it….only takes me to the frame itself and an upload option.

Love the mirror over the fireplace! Could you do a darker gray tile for the hearth if you want to change it?
René says
Thank you! We are considering marble tile which would be light gray or a solid piece of honed granite which would be almost black.

Love the pop of pink. Do you have outlets in the floor? I used to have them in our old house, they were a dream for floating a sofa with a console behind it.
