This morning I saw our sons off on their road trip up north. Just a few minutes ago they texted to say “we made it”. Do you ever stop worrying as a mother? Mom tells me you never do and I have a feeling I’ll be just like her. I’m an optimist, but an optimist who carries an umbrella always preparing myself for the worst.
Anyway, let’s look at a pretty home tour. When I first saw this home, designed by Irene Lovett of Designstiles, I instantly fell in love. The bright interior paired with vintage rugs, modern lighting, and well appointed details strike the perfect balance. The home is warm and inviting while being fresh and modern.
The Venetian mirror and antique rug in this foyer draw you in. The pendant light and wall treatment are the finishing touch!
I love the rug in the family room in combination with the softer tones in the sofa, throw pillows, and weathered coffee table.
Blue island anyone? And how about the graphic impact of the marble back splash?
I’ve always loved a built in niche in a bathroom that can provide storage or display special mementos.
Soothing retreats are all about light, airy colors, cozy linens, and fresh furnishings.
If I had a hallway I would want it to look just like this. The gallery and lighting is dreamy as is the vintage runner.

The house is so warm and inviting. I love the colors and the oriental runner in the hallway is stunning. Know your sons will have a wonderful time with their grandparents…a special time for them all! Happy Tuesday, René

Agreed! Every detail is perfect! Yes, our sons are blessed with wonderful grandparents. Every summer they look forward to their time together. Of course I will be holding my breath until they arrive home safely. 🙂
