I love seeing small spaces that pack a large punch. Maybe it’s because we live in a smaller home and I’m always looking for ways to make the best use of space. When this charming home came through my facebook feed over the weekend I stopped in my tracks.
Let’s take a look at the great details that make this 700 square foot home big on style, shall we?
The home is painted white throughout with white upholstered furniture. The fun comes when color (blues & reds) is injected through art and vibrant textiles.
I adore this room! Everything from the art over the mantel to the colorful throw pillows to the camelia branches all against a white backdrop – perfect!
Painting the windows black was such a great detail here. And how great is that shade?
How’s that for shelf styling? Some of the contents are purely functional like the liquor bar and others are for storage. Love how the books are stacked up in a pile so that you only see the pages.
Notice the hollow core doors that have been wallpapered and hung as art. The shades repeat the wicker chair finish. And a fiddle head fig is always a good idea.
Table runners on the chairs really ups the wow factor!
Ruffled curtains instead of cabinet doors are cute. I’m normally not a ruffle fan, but do believe it works here.
A tablecloth acts as a headboard to create a great focal point in the bedroom.
The porch was stenciled to resemble high end tile and add a punch of pattern/color to the front porch. If you scroll back to the first image you can see the tile from a distance.
