Monday Inspiration | Dark Bedrooms
It’s a cold, rainy day today and wouldn’t it be nice to linger in bed just a little longer? These dark bedrooms really tug at my winter instinct to cozy in and drink cocoa while snuggling under a furry blanket. The key to dark rooms is contrast. Think lots and lots of white, shiny metals, and a little leopard never hurts. Enjoy!
I love the use of deep dark colors with the contrast of white and pattern. My favorite colors to use for this effect are Outerspace and Mink, both by Sherwin Williams.

I've fallen in love Loyal Blue by Sherwin Williams. It's almost navy with a bit more brightness to it. I just painted my kitchen with it and it works so well with turquoise, orange, mixed metals and of course white. Have a great day!

Does Coventry Gray constitute as a dark color? It's about as dark as I'll probably go in my own house. But, I also love navy…..
Great color Fran! Not sure that Coventry is a "dark" color although it is darker than anything in my house.
I love a dark bedroom, they always seems so masculine and protective and cozy. That Hale Navy looks like it may be replacing the brighter blue we already have, I'm liking a more cloudy day color would make it perfect for sleeping in.
I used SW Rainstorm in my Habitat room and it looked great in the space. I actually paired it with some bolder jewel tone colors and white drapery panels. The room didn't have much natural light but the time of day the open house occurred I crossed my fingers for no rain and knew it would be pretty.
I love a dark and cozy room too!! Such beautiful inspiration photos. Our bedroom is BM Gentleman's Gray – a navy with a bit of teal, and we have BM Nightfall in our basement, I really love that color and think it would be gorgeous in a bedroom.
