The roman shades are up and I must say they make a world of difference in making the kitchen feel a little more “finished”. If it’s OK, I’ll post all the details/sources in a final post a little later.
The new pillows are on the banquette and I love how they tie it all together. Three pillows total and the simplicity is just what I wanted. Aren’t the jugs fun? Mom and I found them one day while exploring new shops.
Still to do is add shiplap to replace the plate wall and we also need to address our less than charming soffit. I’ve found some great botanical prints for the wall once it’s done. Mr. is feeling the pressure ;). Long term wish list is new cabinet doors and to remove the granite back splash and add white subway tile. It will happen eventually, but eventually could be a long time.
Looks great Rene…I love that fabric and well of course I love the green bottles:)
Love it!
Beautiful! It always amazes me how a few well chosen items can alter a space.
I love your new romans and pillow Rene!! That fabric is so pretty and I love the soft green of the glass jugs.
love the fabric on that pillow- and the soft colors! beautiful!
Gorgeous, just gorgeous! Your kitchen is so inviting, Rene. 🙂
Your kitchen looks so warm and inviting just from the few pictures I see. I love your curtain shades in the bay window. Where did you get your kitchen table? I am looking for a reclaimed farm table and from your picture, your table looks like what I looking for. Thanks so much for sharing your home. Have Wonderful Day! Marie
The farm table was made by a family member in the late 1800's. It is one of my favorite pieces. 🙂
Looking great! Sometimes we make our best changes when we work slowly…. which is completely contrary to my personality.
So pretty! Your roman shades are gorgeous, you're right they add the perfect finished touch! I'm impressed your fitting in kitchen updates during the holidays!!
Beautiful! Love that fabric!

It is Gray Owl, BM.
Rene, the gray looks really sophisticated. Nice! I like how there is a graphic print, but it is subtle. Who made your shades? I plan on doing relaxed shades for my kitchen windows too (at some point)- thinking either a neutral with banding or a print (but subtle like yours).
Fran, I made the shades myself. Hopefully they aren't screaming "DIY". Ha!
