Hi friends! I’m a little late posting today, but thought I would pop in anyway. The boys are away at the beach and I’m enjoying a slower pace today unlike normal Mondays. I mentioned a while back that I was planning to paint our downstairs bathroom. It finally happened last week and we’re really happy with how it turned out. The new color, BM white dove, (which matches the old tile) really lightened things up. Quite a change from the BM black it once was! Now I’m working on things like art for the walls and possibly replacing the shower curtain with this one or this one. One item on my radar is sea fans. I would love to find a framed one for the bathroom, but the ones I’ve seen are crazy expensive.

I love them as well! I just saw a great one at Homegoods yesterday! Maybe keep checking there?!

Hi Alison. Yes, I'm hoping to find one there – I just need to keep checking. Loved your posts last week from your recent project, by the way! Thanks!

I love sea fans! I copied The Nester (http://www.thenester.com/2012/12/whats-on-my-walls.html) and spray painted one and attached it to a frame. I bought mine online – it was $20 for 2, I think. You can see mine here (http://www.mrsbomb.com/1727/picture-ledges/) but her pictures are much better. Hope that helps! 🙂

Thank you Helen! I just ordered one from Pottery Barn thanks to a reader. It was only $12! I also found sea fans on etsy for anyone looking. 🙂

Hi, I am a first time commenter but I did a DIY sea fan framing a few years ago for the same reason. The ones already framed were so expensive! I purchased a couple shadow boxes from Michaels with a light gray background and they worked out great. Under $40 for the entire project!
