We’re back from a long weekend at the beautiful North Carolina coast. We spent our mornings walking on the beach, our days riding the waves and watching the tide roll in, and our evenings dining alfresco, enjoying wine and seafood. Aaah…I love being close to the ocean.
On more than one outing, a certain house caught my eye and I could hardly wait to get home and find the rental listing. It didn’t disappoint! Many beach houses are stuck in a time warp with orange paneling, brown everything, floral everything, and kitschy decor. Not this house…
It is called Holden Point and what caught my eye was the simplicity (and the ocean view of course). The clean driftwood and white exterior told me this might be a gem. Take a look…(keep in mind, these are not quality photos)
You know how I feel about outdoor showers – this house has two! And as an added bonus, there is also a tiny swimming pool. If you would like to see the rest, go here.

We just got home from Holden as well, and we too fell in love with that SAME house! Everyday, I just wanted to knock on the door and get a peek inside. We looked it up while we were there, and the inside did not disappoint! Told my family that if I were to build a beach house, that is pretty much how I would want mine to look. Hope you had a great vacation!

Haha! Thank you Beverly. I hope you and your family had a great time – we did! LOVED that house so much each time we rode by. So funny you looked it up as well. It really looks like a perfect place to relax, no?

Geez….gorgeous rental home. I wish I could decorate ours like that but well…..let's just say they are very hard on the property! Glad you were able to get away for a nice long weekend!

Sounds like a relaxing trip. What a dreamy home! I just got back from a family trip in Massachusetts where we have been working on our family home for renters to stay in. These pictures are great inspirations. And I do love an outdoor shower too!
