Our kitchen garden has flourished this summer! We’ve never had such perfectly beautiful tomatoes before. I’m not sure why, but it could be due to the marigolds? Anyway, I’m taking careful notes in hopes that next year we will have the same success. I’m also starting to think about our fall garden, but for now find myself holding the watering hose mostly. Because I can’t really plant anything for at least a few more weeks, I plan to do my best to get organized and ready. I’ve always loved terra cotta pots and have a supply stacked and waiting on the potting bench at all times. These images really inspire me. I love how the pots are visible in outdoor spaces rather than tucked away waiting be used.

I love terra-cotta, too!
I have a stash of clay pots too! Glad everything is okay. Missed your posts!
Thank you Mary! Everyone has been so sweet by reaching out. Funny, I thought older kids required less time. I wouldn't trade it for the world. 🙂 #notcomplaining
Looking forward to seeing what your fall garden will look like!
Ha – I need to take that same blogging break. Summer is almost over!
I'm.pretty sure the hose will need to be surgically removed from my hand.
We inherited a pretty decent shed in our move and it has a little "potting" area that I am so excited to work on! Isn't it funny how beautiful these stacked terra cotta pots can be … they just scream summer relaxation to me!! xo
Good for you! Of course when the weather gets hot I kind of lose interest in outside activities especially gardening! I am ready for fall:)
