Lately shades of aqua and coral mixed with warm neutrals have been speaking to me. Thankfully, one of my favorite artists has an amazing selection of 3×5’s to choose from. Once I found the perfect piece (the one in the middle) I continued my search for others that would look nice together. I lucked up and found the piece on the left from Minted and the one on the right from this etsy store. I’m really happy with this little grouping and feel that the new prints give the room just the right amount of color.
Here you can see the entry (read about the striped walls here). A while back I mentioned that I had recovered the ottoman with faux ostrich. The old ikat was showing all kinds of dirt so it had to go. The solid color with a little texture of the faux ostrich better suits me anyway – now there’s no limit when it comes to other accessories. I go back and forth on whether to layer a rug over the sisal rug and if so what kind? Maybe that can wait until fall.
Love, love the artwork!! Your family room is beautiful!
Thank you Amanda! It was hard finding a time to take a picture now that school is out :).
Such a pretty room and I love the new prints. I agree, I love aqua and coral, that is what my bedroom is right now. Such pretty summer colors.
Thank you Marty! Those are my happy colors this summer.
This looks great…of course I zero right in on the pillows….LOVE!
Thanks Sherry! Would love to get you over here :).
I really like the contrast between the white mats and black frames. That really sets them off.
Thank you Danette!
Where did you get those leopard print pillows? I love them!!!
I found them on etsy a couple of years ago. Hope this helps.
So fresh, pretty and current! Love it all! Rene, can you share the source for the middle pillow? The floral one. Many thanks. Loi
Thank you! The fabric is Braemore Gorgeous Pearl. I made it myself, but they are available on etsy. Hope this helps.
Looks fabulous! I just layered a cowhide over my sisal – the family is skeptical but warming to it.

I was thinking cowhide too. Now if I can find one at a reasonable price.
So pretty Rene!! I love the color in your otherwise neutral space, and the black frames really give them a pop.
Thank you Lisa!
So pretty! I love your scalloped basket! I'm a sucker for scallops — may I ask where you purchased it? Thanks!
Thanks! I found the tray on Joss & Main a while back. It comes up in the sales every now and then.
Your living room looks so pretty, Rene! Love the new art…the colors are just right.
Thank you Karen!
I would love to recreate this in my living room, I have the same blank wall above the couch! I was thinking of picking up the RIBBA Frames from Ikea (20.5×28) and you said you ordered the mat with a 5×7 opening, right?
Ribbas would work! Yes, the mats have a 5 x 7 opening.
I love your new art wall & would love to duplicate as I have 3 empty frames I've been searching to fill. However when I went to to search for the middle one, it says it's a 16×20? Where we're you able to purchase a 5×7?
Hi Eenie. I found the 5 x 7 on the etsy site. Sometimes different sizes are listed. Maybe you could message her to see if it is available? Hope this helps.
