The last few weeks, Mr. and I have been focusing much of our attention to a property we have been trying to sell. We now have buyers and a closing date in sight (hooray!). Our painter backed out at the last minute which means that we painted the entire thing ourselves. Nine gallons of paint if that gives any of you DIY folks an idea of what we’ve been up to. But I’m not complaining. Actually, we are thrilled to be closing the door to this long and drawn out chapter in our lives. I won’t bore you with the details, let’s just say we are in a much better place than we’ve ever been!
Anyway, the reason I’m sharing this is to show you the paint colors. I know we all like a good wall paint/trim combination, right?
The walls are BM snow white and the trim is BM decorators white. I’m in love! Mr. is okay if he never sees this paint again, but I could get used to it in every room in our house, ha! When we built this property several years ago, we had the concrete floors faux painted. I still like the concept, but would probably go with something in the gray family now (to resemble slate). Email me if you’d like more info.
This is one of my favorite fixtures! I have tried and tried to find a place for it in our house. It is listed on craig’s for any locals interested.
While, I’m not a fan, fan (ha!), this one isn’t totally awful. It has a light kit in the top which is nice instead of the tacky globe hanging down below. Also listed on craig’s.
Another light fixture, good for a large foyer or outdoor space. Also on craig’s. Could always be spray painted or rub & buffed (that is a verb, right?).
And if anyone is in the market for a studly desk and file cabinet, we’ve got you covered.

Is the ceiling a different color. Sure looks like it but could be the lighting.
Thanks btw – it looks great

Good eyes! Yes, I almost included the ceiling color. It is ordinary ceiling white. If it were my choice, I would've painted the ceiling the same as the walls.

We're dealing with a long drawn out chapter in our lives too so I know what a relief it must be to get this off your plate. Everything looks better with a fresh coat of white paint!

Here's to a fresh start Jen 🙂 !

Nine gallons! Holy cow you have been busy. I was done after painting our room and bathroom. Although I totally understand you then wanting to paint your own house. The curse of a great paint color! Thrilled for you both and that you can wrap this up soon. What a wonderful feeling.

After painting nine (!) gallons worth of paint, you deserve a few weeks off. Good for you two! Congrats on the sale. There's never a better time for a new start than springtime!
P.S. Can you share any details on the first chandelier you shared (the uttermost mini chandelier). I really, really like it but wonder if I can find one for my house.

I believe it is discontinued Ashley, but I'll let you know.
