Hello to you! How was your weekend? Ours was exactly as I had hoped – the perfect mix of relaxing and productive. Last Friday I took the day off to do a little cleaning and re-arranging. I was happy to finally put my new tray from High Street Market to use.
The lacrosse game was fun but cold. (thank you for your kind words Friday) At this moment I was happy to be back in the warm car waiting for our player to emerge from the field house.
I’m happy to report that Parker’s room was painted. He even did some of it himself. To my friends with young kiddos, just think what you can get them to do when they are older ;).
I’m always happy when the teenagers choose our house.
Someone else may have enjoyed the weekend even more than me.
We worked in the garden yesterday and I’m smitten with this hellebore!
Cold weather is on the way so I brought a few camellia branches in to pretend like spring is here.
We just found out that school is getting out at 12:30 today due to the impending forecast. Here’s to another adventurous week!

Sounds like a great weekend, Rene! We're snowed in today (well, at least for the morning). And, of course this happens after I pack away the kids snowsuits away for the year! 🙂 I've been eyeing that blue & white tray from HSM – it is so pretty! Have a good week!
René says
Thanks Fran! Too bad about the snow suits. Yes, i have a wish list that goes on and on from HSM!

That Hellebore is a much needed sign of spring. As is the prospect of lacrosse! These things means we can deal with the snow we're all getting today!
Let me chime in and say how pretty that High Street Market tray is (but you already knew that)!

I love the Hellebore ~ spring sign for sure! We had 84F here on Fri, 82 Sat and 16F by late yesterday. Snow flurries, sleet, freezing rain and 0F wind chill this morning. That's the thing about Texas ~ drastic changes. 🙂
Have a wonderful week!

I cannot wait to see more of the room! The navy looks soooo good! And the picture with all the teenagers – all I see are those gorgeous frames and mats! I need to order some! I've never heard of hellebore – but it's beautiful! We planted tulips and daffodils last year and they are popping up (but not blooming yet) I hope they make it through the cold weather.
René says
Thanks so much! We are thrilled with how it turned out. Still addressing curtains and a few other details, but happy to have it painted and art hung. Your tulips & daffodils will be beautiful!
Mindy says
Eeeee, my hellebore are blooming now, too. Yours is gorgeous!!

I noticed last week that our camellia is starting to bud..I'm hoping this batch of ice and snow didn't kill the buds!

Aw, love your "boy mama " photos-I have 2 boys, ages 3 and 1, and I am praying they will always want to bring their friends over to hang out at our home when they get older…I don't know what I'd do if not! Boys are so sweet to their mamas 🙂
René says
I agree Dina! Boys are very sweet and I love having them (and their friends) around.
