“Can you imagine my twin boys are juniors in college and going to be 21 in February. It’s a rite of passage to let them go, to welcome them home and then let them go again. More memories to come. Photos too.”
She is right (darnit); we do have to let them, go. And they are usually ready when the time comes which means we have done our job. Okay, enough of this because I’m starting to cry and don’t want to get all puffy eyed again. I spent most of yesterday looking like a Shar Pei. I’m pretty sure our boys think something is wrong with me :).
On a lighter note, Laura shared this on facebook and I laughed out loud! Thank you Laura! I think we all needed this!
Yes , they are ready it's we who are not! It will all be fine as we move onto a new chapter in our lives with new experiences knowing we made them ready to leave on their own.
Best,
Karolyn
That cartoon got sent around our family when my niece went off to college this past fall – so perfect! 🙂
I saw that cartoon about the time my oldest was leaving last Fall and never laughed so hard! PVE is dead on with her comment, really, it's all good!
