I have been so fortunate to work with a very sweet local family on their new home. Last spring we mapped out a plan of changes to occur over the course of a year and it has been so much fun to see it all come to life! The young family has a traditional style, but wanted to inject some freshness to make their house feel more like them. You might remember me posting about this project here. Today I want to share a few of the progress pictures. Once everything is finished I would like to take better pictures, but for now hopefully these will do.
The last time I was there, panels were being installed in both the living room and breakfast room. I’m not sure why I didn’t take a picture of the living room panels – next time!
This is the actual panel – cream linen with Greek key trim. Just so you know, they look amazing in this room! Plantation shutters were also installed throughout the house. So the panels added a nice layer. Grass cloth was also added to the backs of the built-ins.
This is the study. My client wanted to try a dark color in here. We both agreed that the contrast would be nice and would breathe new life into the traditional furnishings.
The room was painted Urban Bronze and it looks so good!
Here is the breakfast room. This room called for a new paint color, lighting, and window treatments.
Still to do – my clients would like to change out the chandelier. I recommended this one and they are on board with the plan. I cannot wait to see this!
Very soon a new runner will be installed on the stairs. Once I have better pictures, I will be sure to share them.

Lovely changes all but I think my favorite is the Urbane Bronze walls with the gold upholstery and traditional pieces, genius and gorgeous!

It all looks wonderful, amazing job. The Urbane Bronze makes their existing upholstery look so gorgeous. I love that color! Interested to see the stair runner. I need to get one in the next few months and am thinking about some of the geometrics from Stanton. Are those Stanton or a different company!
René says
They are Stanton. Such a great selection too! I think we are going with one of the top left options.

Really love the study area – the color of the chair and loveseat is so pretty especially now up against the darker wall color.

I love the carpet selections you made. I am currently shopping for carpet, wondering if you could share the name of the 2 carpets in the upper left of the above picture. Thanks so much!
