I love it when a family room is large enough to accommodate two sofas. My client has the room and is on board with the two sofa – two chair combo. We have one sofa and need another. While I’m partial to a matching pair of a sofas, a mismatched pair will probably do. What do you think?
I love the idea! I'm envious! Wish I could have two in my family room so everybody could snuggle up together! I'm with you on the two matching, but would take it any way I could get it!
Love it! And mismatched but similar in the same fabric will work nicely!
when we moved here we did the two sofas facing each other thing- and i LOVE it! so glad we went with that- it's cozy and conducive to conversation.
Love the look, wish I had room! I used two matching for a client recently, with two matching chairs, they're so happy with all the seating!
Can't wait to have this look one day!
Just love this look. I dream of a family room large enough to host two sofas one day.
Two sofa's facing each other creates the perfect opportunity to sit and talk. Horror! yes, instead of having the TV going.
I like the idea of two sofa's that are different but have a common element to bring them together – just like the guest who will sit on them to chat.
Love it! and all the rooms you feature.
Love that combo, its nice when the room architecturally lends itself to that arrangement, especially for entertaining! Great Post,

I love using two sofas, just need a bigger room to do it, but the look is fabulous. I would love for you to link up to Inspire Me this afternoon. Party goes live at 2:30 PT. http://www.astrollthrulife.net Hope to see you there. Hugs, Marty
love these inspiration pictures! we have two couches and I just figured out the arrangement I like best for them in our living room. my fav image is the room with the grey and white striped rug. those built ins are to die for, too! thanks for sharing those!
We have two white ektorp sofas and love them. They fit our family of six well. And i like the look.
Never tried it myself but I've seen it work before. Can't wait to see how you address this!
I've seen it work well without 2 matching sofas. I just think it needs to be a tailored look to pull it off. No doubt you are just the one to do that!
We have two sofas in the Family Room, actually they are leather recamiers from Horchow. They have the look of a tufted sofa but the comfort of a chaise! We LOVE them!
