I was recently contacted by Hillary Butler to see if I would be interested in featuring her work on the blog. You can just imagine my excitement when this email arrived! Hillary “paints whimsical landscapes and still lifes capturing the movement of color running through the composition”. That’s just a lot of fancy words for gorgeous!
I chose “Tangelo” although I would’ve taken every.single.one. It currently hangs in a little corner in our dining room, but if I ever start a gallery wall…
I love how the colors place nicely and don’t compete with the botanical prints in the dining room. And I especially love pairing traditional furniture with modern art. So, I probably need a few more of her pieces ;).
You can explore Hillary’s online shop here. Another great way to stay informed is through her blog. If you are interested in picking up a piece of her art for your home or client, Hillary offers a virtual service allowing you to see a painting on your wall before making the purchase.

I treated myself to a tiny Hillary Butler painting a couple months ago – love! Lucky girl to have been gifted such a special one, looks lovely in your dining room and is a great start to that gallery wall – you know, if you need help, I'll be there – I sort of am obsessed with gallery walls. May start a 12 step program!
