I’ve been slowly chipping away at our master bedroom. I’ve settled on a room of neutrals – creams, golds, with bits of blue. I really love how soothing it is and hope that I stick with my plan before changing course. When the seasons change, so does my decor strategy. Does anybody else do this?
Over the weekend I finished a project that has been on the to-do list for a while.
We have a mini-chandelier in the master bedroom. It used to be bronze and I painted it white. White was OK for a while, but it was too cold. Yesterday I gave it the gold Rub ‘n Buff treatment.
I usually apply Rubb ‘n Buff with my fingers, but the little crevices needed something more. So I used an art paintbrush to get into those spots.
The gold gave the room a little more warmth which was exactly what I was hoping for.
That’s what I did yesterday. What about you?

Beautiful! Definitely warms it up like you wanted!
Yesterday, I went through a few boxes of old momentos- stuff my mom saved from school, old letters, cards and diaries, etc. It's quite entertaining but I'm looking forward to trashing most of it. 🙂

So pretty! I have a white chandelier, also, I think this may be the idea I've been looking for. This is the first I've heard of Rub n Buff, though. Is the color just called gold? Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home and ideas!
