I love using evergreens just about everywhere during the holidays. So last night I made a little wreath to hang around our deer’s neck.

These are the items I used to make the mini wreath. This is my favorite wire and I use it for all things wreath and floral related. It is so easy to use and strong – double bonus! Plus it practically disappears once you are finished. You can find it at most craft stores.

I began by slightly overlapping the cuttings. It looks best when you cannot see the beginning or end of a stem.

I continued doing this until I had a length long enough to fit around the neck of the deer.

Once I had the length I needed, I bent the wreath around the neck of the deer and connected the two ends with wire. Any stray sprigs were trimmed or tucked back into the wreath.

Tada! Easy boxwood bling!
Why are you so brilliant and talented? Seriously. This is adorable. You need to lend me some of your X-mas spirit!
I'm serious! I want some of what she got! I didn't get any. 🙂
So cute, it looks lovely!

I love love love it!! And I love your shoes…I've drooled over them before on IG!
Thanks everybody! This was so easy I should probably be embarrassed to post it :).
It's so beautiful. . . and that deer commands serious respect with that regal stance of his. LOVE it.
That deer looks mighty proud now. So pretty Rene. I also love your ballet flats!
I think your Mattie Gray needs one of these! 😉
Rene a perfect wreath for the deer; I will have to make one for my goose decoy!

Fabulous! This is super easy and I already have the boxwood cuttings and floral wire. I looked up other DIY boxwood wreaths, but they required some sort of circle framing and I just don't want to spend money on that. Thank you!
thanks for the idea! i have a boxwood bush outside of our house & will definitely be making a few of these this winter!
ps- just discovered your blog via pinterest & have added it to my blog list on my blog!
