I went through all of my makeup and threw out what was old or never used. Why do we keep things that we don’t use? Everything fits neatly in the adjustable compartments. The little flap covers the brushes to keep them in place.
You know how Amazon shows you what others bought when you are looking at a certain product? These wonderful brushes appeared as a recommendation. I’m no makeup expert, but I’ll admit to watching a youtube tutorial every now and then. Brushes can be really pricey, but this set was $11! The bristles are super soft and do not fall out. There’s a wide range of sizes too. If you are looking for good quality brushes that aren’t a huge investment, you might want to consider these. I cannot recommend them enough!
Now for a few favorites inside my nifty little makeup bag…
Urban Decay smoky eyeshadow palette. This is my go-to for date night or times when I want a little more drama. The nude tones are great for every day, but the blues and charcoals are great for dressier occasions.
e.l.f. contour palette in light/medium. I like this palette because it has several shades of bronzer and the highlighter is really nice. Easy to use!
Rimmel natural bronzer. I also like this bronzer for a quick application and use it daily.
Too Faced better than sex mascara. There’s a reason why this is a best seller!
Laura Mercier caviar stick eye color. Convenient and easy to use! The pencil is really smooth and there’s really no way to mess up. Just apply a little and move it around with your finger. Add more (or not) until you get the look you want. Easy!
Mac paint pot in painterly. Acts as a primer and also as an eyeshadow that stays put all day.
Nars blush in orgasm. This is one I buy over and over. It gives a beautiful hint of color with a tiny bit of sheen for that pretty, “post glow” look.
Lancome sourcils styler brow gel. Adds a little more definition to your eyebrows without looking too done.
e.l.f. eyebrow enhancer. I’m still a big fan of this little eyebrow pencil for filling in sparse brows. Can’t beat the price!
Nars tinted moisturizer with broad spectrum SPF30. This is one that I buy over and over again. Natural looking buildable coverage that’s just a bit dewy. Even though it costs a little more, a tube lasts more than 6 months.
Maybelline Fit me matte poreless makeup. You’ve gotta love a good foundation that can be found in the drugstore! I recently listened to a podcast by a makeup artist who listed this as one of her favorite drugstore buys. I’ll be buying this again!
Maybelline age rewind concealer. I’ve tried concealers at every price point and keep going back to this one.

Thanks for sharing. Which make up artist podcaster gave you the recommendation for the Fit Me foundation?

I just bought the Nars blush after the sales girl in Sephora gave me a sample. You are so right, it really does give you a pretty glow. No wonder it's one of their most popular shades.

Nars blush is the bomb – goes on so smoothly! I also am a lover of all the Naked eyeshadow palettes. Unfortunately they discontinued the Smoky palette last year, so enjoy yours while you have it. You can still find a few online here and there, but they are at least a year old, so buyer beware.

Bobbi Brown, from blush to eye shadow. Love her products!
